Kathryn Yarnal is an associate attorney with Hughes & Hughes. Mrs. Yarnal grew up in San Diego, California. Her interest in becoming a family law attorney was sparked at the age of seven, when her parents adopted her younger brother and the judge asked her to sign the adoption orders.
Mrs. Yarnal attended University of California, Santa Cruz and graduated with a Bachelor of Art's degree in Political Science. During her junior year of undergraduate, Mrs. Yarnal attended Universidad de Carlos III in Madrid, Spain, where she studied international politics. After finishing her undergraduate degree, Mrs. Yarnal obtained a Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. During law school, Mrs. Yarnal worked as a law clerk and was a volunteer and certified law student at Veteran’s Village Family Law Clinic, helping San Diego homeless veteran’s with family law legal matters.
After law school, Mrs. Yarnal worked as an associate attorney for a high profile family law firm in the Riverside, California area, working primarily in contested family law matters involving custody, visitation, child and spousal support, paternity, domestic violence issues, and division and characterization of community and separate property.
Mrs. Yarnal loves traveling with her family and friends and has ambitions to travel to every continent. Mrs. Yarnal enjoys running, cycling, and kick-boxing, which offsets her culinary interests.
