Patricia Santamaria is an associate attorney with Hughes and Hughes.

Ms. Santamaria grew up in Orange County where she attended California State University at Fullerton, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development.

Ms. Santamaria received her Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School, graduating Cum Laude. She was a fellow with the Center for Children and Families and served as an Article Editor for Whittier’s Journal of Child & Family Advocacy.

After her first year at Whittier, Ms. Santamaria participated in a study abroad program accredited by the American Bar Association in Nanjing, China. While in Nanjing, Ms. Santamaria attended courses in Contemporary Problems in Family Law, International Adoption Law and California Child Custody practicum. Upon graduating from Whittier she received the Center for Children’s Rights Certificate.

Prior to joining Hughes & Hughes, Ms. Santamaria worked in a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive employment services to disadvantaged men, women and teens from a variety of ages, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds and transitions, such as survivors of domestic violence, drug/alcohol recovery, veterans, foster youth programs, and at-risk youth.


Ms. Santamaria is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association, and the Family Law and Commercial Law & Bankruptcy sections of the Orange County Bar Association.

Ms. Santamaria enjoys going on hikes, jogging and spending time with her family.
